Camino de Santiago in its passage through Najera

PROGRAM

DAY 1: Arrive at the hotel Dukes De Nájera, in the afternoon housing. Possibility of visiting the Monastery of Santa Maria The Royal

You will have dinner in a typical pilgrims restaurant. We will get to rest soon becouse the following day we have to walk.

DAY 2: Breakfast towards 7:30 and we will go to Logroño where we will begin the next stage. That will be approximately 25 kilometres and arriving at the hotel at about 4 p.m. We will take a rest, have dinner and again soon to rest.

DAY 3: Breakfast and at the hour that you wish we will hed to Santo Domingo de la Calzada approximately 19 kilometres. Once in Santo Domingo and when you wish you can call us and we will go and collect you. Dinner and today we can allow ourselves some more relaxation.

HISTORY

Santiago de Compostela Hundreds of years ago the first pilgrims arrived in Compostela to visit the grave of the Apostle Santiago

Nowadays and after 1.200 years approximately there has been thousands of pilgrims from the whole world who have followed their steps, and though the motives have changed with time, there are things that not even the pass of time has managed to change.

In the beginnings people who decided to cross the Route of the stars were doing it for eminently religious motives and of faith. Nowadays these motives have been changing and now people alsoe do the Camino de Santiago for cultural reasons, historical reasons, promises, as a way of finding ones self or simply as a physical and personal test. What the passing of time has not changed are the sensations, the perfect communion between man and nature as well as the interior renovation that all obtain even without being conscious of it.

The hotel Dukes of Nájera with this initiative is trying to put all this at your dissposal with two stages of Camino de Santiago through maybe a less known route in the community of La Rioja.

Across its valleys and wavy areas, and making a point of two historical cities Nájera (the former capital of the Kingdom of Navarre) and Santo Domingo de la Calzada one of the mythical cities of the Camino de Santiago, and that this year celebrates its centenary. You will be able to enjoy its landscapes filled with vineyards (wherefrom comes one of the best wines of the world) and the hospitable spirit of its people.
